Jet ski license in Dubai

Have you ever thought about obtaining your driver jet ski license? We have been among the early providers of jet ski experiences in Dubai, launching our base more than eight years ago. In 2022, we expanded our services by opening a boating school offering certification through the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). The RYA is one of the world’s leading authorities in sailing and boating training. Founded in England in 1875, the organization has built an international reputation, and its certifications are recognized in many countries, including the United Arab Emirates.

To obtain permission to operate a jet ski, you usually need to complete a one-day RYA Personal Watercraft course. In most official regulations, jet skis are classified under the term personal watercraft. Finishing this course typically allows you to rent and ride a jet ski independently in many destinations around the world. Many major harbours are becoming increasingly strict and are reluctant to allow riders without a license or certified supervision to enter their waters. At present, this requirement is not enforced in the UAE. However, maritime rules can change rapidly, so it may become mandatory there in the future. For example, Qatar introduced this requirement in 2023, and similar regulations may soon appear in other GCC countries. Beyond meeting regulatory expectations, the course is also a valuable learning experience. It helps riders build practical skills, expand their knowledge, and prepare for a variety of situations they might encounter on the water.

Lessons are conducted regularly by our qualified instructors. After completing the training, participants receive an RYA Personal Watercraft (PWC) license. In Dubai, this certificate can be used to register with the DMCA. If you plan to ride a jet ski while traveling abroad, make sure to take your license with you. It is issued as a plastic card that includes your photograph and registration number. During this one-day program, students learn a wide range of essential skills, including how to operate a jet ski, perform docking maneuvers, and follow important sea safety procedures. Throughout the session, the instructor is also available to answer any questions and provide guidance.
